I just wanted to share a little about last weekends Intensive retreat. All I can say is WOW. I wish I would have found and done this 35 years ago. This weekend was an emotional, physical, and spiritual marathon. God broke me down and built me back up over the weekend. I felt HIM and HIS presence the whole weekend. It started with the men HE chose to be there with me. The part that still sticks with me the most is the time Charlotte spent on Betrayal Trauma. My goal from this weekend was to get help for myself and get the tools to help my wife heal. God provided that and so much more. The Pathway to Purity Intensive weekend was an incredible weekend. Tony's message and teaching has undoubtedly made major changes in my life. The weekend was full of deep teaching and even hands on exercises to help me work through this process. I learned a lot about myself in a safe and open environment. I was also able to connect with some other men who have similar struggles and those new relationships are so important to me. The most helpful tool I received on the weekend was the 12 Step Purity Training Program. This gave me a practical tool that I can use each day to move forward in my journey of recovery. A lot of emotion, transparency, and openness I have never experience before. And now I have 9 brothers I have bonded with forever. I've been to a Power of Purity intensive/conference twice now and both times represent pivotal moments in my life. God has used Tony and his ministry powerfully in my life and in my marriage. In 2012, my wife and I were near the end; but God used the Power of Purity to spark hope and begin to rekindle and rebuild our marriage again. In 2022, my wife and I were in a much better place and my walk in purity looked radically different than it did a decade earlier. Having been around Tony and what God was doing through his ministry for the past decade, I felt like I had the information that would be covered during the weekend and was debating investing the extra time to go. My wife and I prayed about it and decided that if nothing else I could potentially encourage some other men that attended and it would be a good way to mark the ten year anniversary of what God had done. My expectations were blown away, and while I didn't necessarily learn any "new material" over the weekend, God used Tony powerfully yet again to connect my heart with the information in new and better ways. I walked out of that weekend stronger in my faith in God's ability to keep me pure and stronger in my commitment to purity than I have ever been before. I also walked out with connections to a group of guys committed and excited to walk this journey with me. I would highly recommend that any man who is serious about his struggle for purity to attend, no matter where he finds himself along the journey. You can tell the weekend is bathed in prayer.
